|Synopsis||:||“Be it ever so humble, there’s no place like home.” Home tells the story of Syafiq, a final year law student, his university’s best debater as well as a Dean’s List Honour student. In his final semester, he finds himself grappling with a dilemma: should he move overseas to study, and later work abroad? Or should he stay in Malaysia?
Written by and directed by Khairi Anwar, an emerging name in Malaysian theatre who wrote Teater Bangsa that eventually won Audience Choice at 2016 Boh Cameron Awards, and Nell Hanan, Home tells the story of a Malaysian’s inner conflict between choosing to remain in the country or to seek greener pastures elsewhere.
